Project Scope: Implementation and Optimisation of MRPEasy for Inventory, Procurement & Production Scheduling Management Project Overview AVID is a scaling business in the plastic injection moulding industry, based in Katikati, Bay of Plenty. We are currently implementing MRPEasy, a SaaS-based MRP system. The primary objective of this project is to enhance inventory and procurement management processes to support the company’s growth. This project aims to engage a local specialist who is familiar with MRPEasy or similar MRP​/​ERP systems, to ensure optimal configuration and seamless integration into our operations. If, upon initial consultation, MRPEasy is determined not to be fit for purpose, we would be seeking support in identifying and implementing a suitable alternative system. Objectives Primary Objective: Configure and optimise MRPEasy to improve inventory, procurement & production scheduling workflows as the company scales. Secondary Objective: - Evaluate MRPEasy's suitability based on AVID’s operational needs. - Identify and support the implementation of an alternative MRP​/​ERP system if required. Scope of Work - MRPEasy Configuration and Implementation - Analyse current inventory, procurement & scheduling processes at AVID. - Customise MRPEasy settings to align with operational workflows. - Provide training and documentation for relevant staff members. To provide some examples of our current challenges we would be looking for advice on: 1. The optimal way to set up workcentres, resources and products to allow production planning to work effectively. 2. Split shift production – for example - some tools​/​projects are only capable of running a day shift, some run 24hrs, however both tools can run on the same machine (not at the same time), ensuring that the scheduling system picks up on this and doesn't double stack projects on certain workcentres (injection moulding machines). 3. The optimal way to structure BoMs to account for reground material in production 4. How to establish suitable material consumption or minimum stock levels to ensure optimal stock levels (no stock outs). 5. How to manage tooling assets as a planning constraint. Alternative System Evaluation (if needed) - Assess MRPEasy's fit for purpose based on business objectives. - Recommend an alternative SaaS-based MRP​/​ERP system, if required. - Support the configuration and implementation of the chosen system. - Ongoing Consultation - Offer guidance on best practices for system usage and optimisation. - Provide troubleshooting and performance monitoring for a specified period. Deliverables - Customised MRPEasy configuration tailored to our requirements. - Simultaneously training key stakeholders in the configuration structure so adjustments may be made internally in the future. - An evaluation of MRPEasy’s suitability. - Implementation plan and support for an alternative system (if necessary). - Training materials and system documentation. Budget and Timeline Budget: We envisage this work being carried out on a time & materials basis. Please confirm day or hourly rates in your response. Timeline: Estimated 1 day per week for 4–6 weeks from the start of the project, subject to initial assessment and requirements. Required Expertise: - Proficiency in configuring SaaS-based MRP​/​ERP systems, specifically MRPEasy. - Experience in inventory and procurement process optimization. - Capability to evaluate and implement alternative systems if required.
